GUESTS OF THE MONTH  After hearing so many great stories over the years about how and why our guests enjoy their unique getaways to Newport with us, we've decided to pick one story each month to share with everyone else, and honor the couple with a $100 savings off their return visit.

Our inspiration in the new year, comes from the Blums of Houston, Texas. After suffering through repeated travel delays on their way to Newport, during that nasty pre-Christmas New England blizzard, they delighted us all, with their tenacity and creativity. While we were digging out and dealing with the hassles of nearly two feet of snow at the Cliffside Inn, the Blums started playfully crafting what looked like a large snowman. Well, actually, it turned out to be a snow statue of none other than Beatrice Turner. "We don't get to play in snow back home in Texas, and Beatrice Turner seemed like a natural inspiration."
