Two of the tea rooms included are in Canada; the others are in the United States, including the Cliffside Inn.

Criteria for inclusion in The Great Tea Rooms of America included serving only fine brewed teas, excellent service, and delicious, visually beautiful foods. The chosen venues serve afternoon tea in welcoming, serene atmospheres that provide a respite from the busyness of everyday life. Their stories are enhanced by historic settings, colorful owners, and vibrant histories.
